Based in Greenville, SC, David founded his organization in the Carolinas in the late 1990's after 30 years as a human resources executive and organization development and learning consultant to the Bendix Corporation, Allied Signal Inc. and Honeywell International. As a member of the corporate human resources staff of Honeywell, he participated in the design and delivery of leadership development for executives in North America, Europe, Mexico and Asia.
His work experience included assignments within aerospace and automotive businesses as manager of employee and labor relations, director of human resources and internal consultant specializing in leadership, organization development and employee learning.
Interacting with a broad range of clients from hourly employees to business unit presidents he specializes in assisting others to develop leadership and team building skills and improve managerial and personal effectiveness through action learning and executive coaching.
David earned a bachelor’s degree in education and psychology from Rockhurst University and a master’s degree from the University of Missouri. He has also participated in numerous graduate level studies at the Universities of Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia Tech, Iowa State and Notre Dame. He is licensed by the Association of Psychological Type to administer and interpret the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and is certified by both Personnel Decisions International and the Hay Group to interpret 360-degree survey guided feedback to coach and assist executives in their professional and leadership development.

Lucia Safran Messina is Vice President of Messina Consulting Services and has provided leadership and guidance to a variety of non-profit organizations both as an employee and independent consultant. She has been an executive director for two non-profit organizations in North Carolina providing over site for volunteer recruitment, fund raising and business development. She held similar positions with the American Hospital Association and the Independent Banker’s Association in Washington, DC. Her experience in the nation’s Capitol also included key roles in two presidential campaigns and as a staff member of the Federal Election Commission.
As a human resources consultant she has led several successful initiatives to create partnerships and maximize effective working relationships between North Carolina County literacy councils and the N.C. Community College system. Her contributions to adult literacy also included consultation and advice to the N.C Rural Task Force initiated by the Governor and headed by Erskine Bowles, former White House Chief of Staff in the Clinton administration. She also crafted a fund raising strategy for a non profit health care clinic in Southeastern North Carolina providing medical services to local residents unable to afford traditional health care services.
Lucia received her undergraduate degree from Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. and participated in the masters in education program at the University of North Carolina.
